Company Director
Lindsey is the Company Director of Drama Spectrum, a part-time performing arts school offering high-level training to young people aged 3–19. As the school approaches its 30-year celebrations, it stands as a testament to her dedication, passion, and unwavering belief in what high-quality training should look like.
She founded Drama Spectrum with a clear purpose: to create a space where children could receive exceptional performing arts training in a supportive, nurturing environment. Guided by strong family values, Lindsey has shaped the school into a close-knit community where every student is encouraged to grow in confidence, skill, and character on stage and beyond.
That sense of community is perhaps best reflected in the school’s innovative mentor system, introduced by Lindsey and now an integral part of the Drama Spectrum experience. By encouraging older students to guide and support younger ones, it not only develops leadership, but also reinforces the supportive ethos at the heart of the school.
As a director and producer, Lindsey has led more than 40 productions, consistently raising the bar for youth theatre. Highlights include Children of Eden, Miss Saigon and Les Misérables – twice, because once clearly wasn’t quite enough. Her productions are known not only for their high standard, but for the confidence and professionalism they inspire in every cast member.
Lindsey’s own background as a performer continues to influence her work. She spent many years on stage, with favourite roles including Nancy in Oliver!, Mary in Jesus Christ Superstar, and Ida in Honk! – experiences that shaped her understanding of both performance and training from the inside out.
Alongside her work as a director, Lindsey is a highly experienced and successful singing teacher and vocal coach. She is an accredited teacher with Vocal Process and part of their registered teaching network, as well as a Vocal Health Specialist (VHP level) with Vocal Health Education. She is passionate about developing strong, healthy voices, ensuring students build technique that will support them for years to come.
Across three decades, her students have achieved outstanding results – both on stage and in examinations, progressing right through to Diploma level. But for Lindsey, the real success lies in the confidence, resilience, and lifelong love of the arts that students take with them.
Having been an integral part of her daughter’s own training journey, Lindsey is now especially proud to work alongside Eloise, bringing the school’s story firmly into its next chapter: very much keeping it in the family.
And as Drama Spectrum looks ahead to its 30th year, Lindsey remains as passionate as ever… still setting the standards high, still championing every student and still loving every minute (well… almost every minute!) of the journey.
